Sergio Rapu
Sergio Mata'u Rapu is a native Rapanui (Easter Island) filmmaker whose work has aired on History Channel, Discovery, National Geographic, and PBS. His award-winning directorial debut, EATING UP EASTER, was broadcast on PBS's Independent Lens. He produced and edited BRING HER HOME, a feature film following Indigenous women fighting for justice for missing and murdered relatives. His latest film, PROFE, explores the push for a decolonized education system for Latine students. Sergio is passionate about uplifting stories from underrepresented communities and empowering storytellers.
