Tom Hering

Tom Hering’s work focuses on growing the benefit corporation community in Oregon and across North America. When he and Mary Anne Harmer launched Benefit Corporations for Good, they recognized the impact small businesses can have on their employees, communities and the planet through a commitment to the triple bottom line of People, Planet and Profit. Today, the certified Benefit Corporations for Good stamp can be found across the U.S. and in British Columbia.

Tom has worked as a creative director, copywriter and brand strategist, guiding projects for organizations including Nike, Intel, Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods, Providence Health Systems, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and Oregon State University. He currently serves as advocacy co-chair for the Interfaith Alliance on Poverty and is co-author of Putting Soul Into Business and 25 Building Blocks to Create a Conscientious Organization. Tom is a University of Oregon School of Journalism graduate.
